A new flag hoisted on Longchamp

Wednesday, March 8, Longchamp racecourse (Paris). - A "Flag ceremony" traditionally marks the end of the main frame work in a construction site. It took place at the new Longchamp racecourse site in the presence of more than 250 companions who worked on this project, along with directors at Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France and Édouard de Rothschild, president of France Galop.

A tree was symbolically planted in the paddock on this occasion, while a visit to the site was organized.

Only eight months away from the racecourse completion, the actual site begins to take shape and one can foresee how the project actually works.

Édouard de Rothschild praised the work of the contractors and the new grandstand, symbol of "a new start for racing, with its traditions and its history, but also focused on the future", while hoping that this new site will "reach the heart of racing and horse fans."
