Abu Dhabi Poule d'Essai des Poulains winner Brametot leads the 12-strong selection en route to the QIPCO Prix du Jockey Club, and the favourite was drawn 1 on Thursday morning...

Twelve colts were confirmed on Thursday in the QIPCO Prix du Jockey Club (Gr1) after one horse declined. On Wednesday, 2,000 Guineas third Al Wukair had been withdrawn while three runners were supplemented at the same stage: Prix Noailles (Gr3) winner Soleil Marin (Kendargent), Prix Greffulhe (Gr2) winner Recoletos (Whipper) and Dee Stakes (L) second Bay of Poets (Lope de Vega).

The winner of the Abu Dhabi Poule d'Essai des Poulains (Gr1) Brametot (Rajsaman), the highest rating of the race at 123lbs, will start from draw 1, along with French 2,000 third Rivet (Fastnet Rock) and the fifth Orderofthegarter (Galileo), one of the three entries confirmed by Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien.

Expected to run on Saturday in the Epsom Derby (Gr1), Waldgeist (Galileo) was actually withdrawn from the English Classic and is now en route for a tilt at the French race. The Andre Fabre-trained colt was drawn 5.

The race is due off at 4.15pm in France -3.15pm in London, 10.15am in the USA, 10.15pm in Hong Kong, 11.15pm in Tokyo and 0.15am in Melbourne.
