Two supplementary entries from Italy and Britain spice up a promising renewal of the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris, on Bastille Day at Saint-Cloud ...

10 have been confirmed in the 2017 Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris (Gr1), run on Friday, July 14 (Bastille Day) over Saint-Cloud's mile and a half trip. Two have been supplemented on Thursday : Italian champion, unbeaten winner of Italian Derby (Gr2) Mac Mahon (Ramonti) and from Britain Permian (Teofilo), the Epsom Derby (Gr1) 10th who had previously won the Dante Stakes (Gr2) at York. They were nine left after Valamaz (Azamour) was declared a non runner.

Aidan O'Brien has also confirmed three entries with QIPCO Prix du Jockey Club (Gr1) 6th Orderofthegarter (Galileo), lately 2nd to Benbatl in the Hampton Court Stakes (Gr3) at Royal Ascot.

Winner of the Prix Hocquart Longines (Gr2), Ice Breeze (Nayef) will represent the race's sponsor, Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farm. Ice Breeze will meet again his two best rivals that day, Shakeel (Dalakhani) and Falcon Wings (Nathaniel).

Ten horses are also confirmed in the Prix Maurice de Nieuil (Gr2) from France, Germany, Italy and Britain, while the Prix Roland de Chambure (L) gathers seven 2yo fillies to fill last year winner Baileys Showgirl (Sepoy)'s shoes.
