#ArcRoad : Enable bows out in style at York

Enable (Nathaniel) won her tenth Group 1 race Thursday at York in the Yorkshire Oaks (Gr1), against three fillies and mares, although only Magical (Galileo), beaten by more than three lengths, xas able to somewhat challenge the favourite to the last furlong.

It was the last race in Britain of the double Ascot King George (Gr1) and Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Gr1) winner. She will bid farewell to Europe on Sunday, October 6 at ParisLongchamp.

Khalid Abdullah's homebred led from one end to the other and completed the 1m4f-trip in 2'29''9, a time higher than the course record by over 4 seconds, but still 1.5 seconds faster than the average time this trip at York.

It was the 14th success of sire Nathaniel and dam Concentric (Sadler's Wells)'s foal. The dam was trained in France, where she won a Listed Race over 1m1/4 in Chantilly.
