After the Arqana Prix Chloé (Gr3) on June 29 at Chantilly, Arqana sponsors this weekend two beginners' races, the Prix de Tancarville, for two-year-old colts and geldings run on Saturday, and the Prix de Lisieux, for two-year-old fillies, on Sunday.
Arqana will double the prize by offering the winning owner a bonus of € 13,500, and an additional € 10,000 if the winner has been purchased at one of the Arqana sales as a weanling, a yearling or a 2-year-old. This premium will be deductible from the owner's next purchase on Arqana 2019 yearlings sales and 2020 breeze-up sale.
One-third of the 21 runners in these two events were sold at the Arqana yearlings sales in October or August 2018. With this partnership, Arqana hopes to boost the profile of these two iconic races and support ownership.
