August 21, Deauville-La Touques Racecourse (Calvados). - Accakaba (Acclamation) remained undefeated for her fourth attempt on the straight 7-furlong trip of the Prix du Calvados (Gr2), an important springboard to the Qatar Prix Marcel Boussac (Gr1) in which the Wertheimer & Frère homebred is not entered, however, while she is in the Qatar Grand Critérium - Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère (Gr1), over 7 furlongs.

First on the stands' side in this 5 2-year-old fillies race, Accakaba got closer to the English favourite Oscula (Galileo Gold), recent winner of the Prix Six Perfections (Gr3) over this distance but with a turn, in the middle of the course. She finally managed to overcome the raider and resisted a well-finishing Fleur d’Iris (Shamardal), who was finally beaten by a short neck. Oscula stayed on bravely in third at a length.

Accakaba wins after the excellent Tropbeau, Polydream and Elusive Kate, all recent winners of this renowned event.

The dam of the winner, Yakaba (Medicean), also bred by the Wertheimers, has won three times at 2, notably in the Prix d'Arenberg (Gr3), the last success of her career. Accakaba is her second foal and her only winner to date. Her three other fillies, including a yearling and a weanling, all by Dark Angel, are unraced.

Accakaba’s third dam, Senkaya (Valanour), was bred by the Aga Khan. She's a sister to the classic winner Sendawar and was sold for € 180,000 to the Wertheimers in Deauville after winning her maiden. Accakaba’s second dam, Kayaba (Anabaa), was sold barren to BBA Ireland at Arqana in 2019 for € 25,000.
