October 10, 2021, Auteuil Racecourse (Paris). - The best hurdler in France had somehow missed the Carmarthen Hurdle (Gr3) so far, and the race had been twice won by Paul's Saga (Martaline) these last two years. This time, however, there was hardly any suspense as L’Autonomie (Blue Bresil) comfortably won her 5th straight race from post to post, scoring for the 16th time for her breeder Catherine Coiffier. She took the lead soon after the start and left her two usual rivals, Paul’s Saga and Galop Marin (Black Sam Bellamy), argue for the placings, only this time, a new player joined the fray, the AQPS Folsom Prison (No Risk At All), who outstayed them for second place, almost 5 lengths behind the champion.

L’Autonomie is out of L’Automne (Kahyasi), a winner of one race in 18 attempts over the flat, claimed for € 12,000 by Catherine Coiffier after 7th place for her last appearance on a racecourse. Her own dam, L’Authie (Linamix), is a sister to the Prix Royal-Oak (Gr1) 3rd Cléty (Sillery), and finished 3rd in the Renaud du Vivier 4yo Hurdle (Gr1). She also gave La Canche (Le Havre), a Listed-placed on the flat.
