Cléopâtre: New heights for Neige Blanche

Saturday, June 6, 2020, Lyon-Parilly. - Traditionally regarded as an important preparatory race for the Prix de Diane Longines (French Oaks, Gr1), the Prix Cléopâtre (Gr3) went to Neige Blanche (Anodin), the best finisher over Flighty Lady (Sir Percy) and World Peace (Camelot), as the front-running Camogie (Invincible Spirit) finished only 4th. Solsticia (Le Havre) was a non-runner.

Winner of two races last year at Marseilles-Vivaux over the all-weather, Neige Blanche had finished fourth one length behind Loquito, the Prix Greffulhe 4th this Saturday, and took third place in the Prix Caravelle-Haras des Granges (L) in Toulouse, just in front of Scripturale (Makfi), well beaten.

Neige Blanche is entered in the Coolmore prix Saint-Alary (Gr1) and the prix de Diane Longines (Gr1).

Neige Blanche was bred by one of her owners, Écurie du Sud, managed by Jacques Rossi, also the father of the winning trainer Cédric Rossi. The winner's dam Bianca Neve (Muhtathir) won at Marseille-Borély and she's asister to the prix de Meautry (Gr3) winner Blanche (Loup Solitaire), for Écurie du Sud and trainer Jacques Rossi. Bianca Neve has now foaled 6 winners out of 7 of racing age.
