American trainer Wesley Ward’s raiders are always a welcome addition to the Darley Prix Morny (Gr1) cocktail. In this 2-year-old championship contested over 6f, which he won in 2013 with No Nay Never and 2016 with Lady Aurelia, he now sends Campanelle (Kodiac) to succeed the French title holder Earthlight.

Winner of the second stage of the Darley Series, the Darley Prix de Cabourg (Gr3), Cairn Gorm (Bated Breath) comes from Britain with a purpose, like the two other winners at Royal Ascot, like Campanelle, namely Nando Parrado ( Kodiac) and the Queen of England's homebred Tactical (Toronado).

The French will mostly rely on Livachope (Goken), unbeaten in three outings - and entered against her elders in the Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp Longines (Gr1), like the fast Acapulco Gold (Kodiac) – while John Dance added more spice to this explosive combination when throwing Rhythm Master (Dark Angel), who just won in a thunderous way for his debut in England.

In short, open scrum for this three nations’ crush!

  • 1. FARFAR (c2, USA by Union Rags and Palazzo Babe, by Rahy) Rating: -

Trained at Chantilly by Pia and Joakim Brandt, he has just started - with blinkers on - with an interesting second place on the all-weather at Deauville and has been supplemented to participate in this very high-level race.

  • 2. RHYTHM MASTER (c2, IRE by Dark Angel and Pastoral Girl, by Pastoral Pursuits) Rating: -

Trained in England by Richard Fahey, bought £ 210,000 at the Newmarket sales, he easily won his debut 1200m race at Haydock.

He is entered in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère (Gr1).

  • 3. CAIRN GORM (c2, GB by Bated Breath and In Your Time, by Dalakhani) Rating: 103lbs

Trained in England by Mick Channon, bought back £ 35,000 at the Goffs yearling sales, Cairn Gorm won his first two races and was very brave to keep the lead until the end the second time around at Newbury. He confirmed well over 6f in the Darley Prix de Cabourg (Gr3) recently.

He is entered in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère (Gr1).

  • 4. TACTICAL (c2, GB by Toronado and Make Fast, by Makfi) Rating: -

Trained in England by Andrew Balding, this homebred colt won the Windsor Castle Stakes (L) over 5f on his second outing at Royal Ascot. He was even more convincing when winning over 6f at Newmarket in a Group 2 race.

He is entered in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère (Gr1).

  • 5. NANDO PARRADO (c2, GB by Kodiac and Chibola, by Roy) Rating: 105lbs

Trained in England by Clive Cox, bought back £ 200,000 at the Newmarket sales, he finished fifth on his debut, having dwelt at the start. However, he caused a sensation on his next outing, over 6f in the Coventry Stakes (Gr2) at Royal Ascot, which he won by a length on good ground.

He is entered in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère (Gr1).

  • 6. WINVALCHOPE (f2, FRA by Kheleyf and Mademoiselle Flore, by Footstepsinthesand) Rating: 85lbs

Trained in Chantilly by Fabrice Vermeulen, bought back € 3000 at the La Teste sales, she won on her second outing in a claiming race, after which she changed connections. Third in La Flèche (L) after that, then sixth over 7f without an excuse, still beaten in the Darley Prix de Cabourg (Gr3), she’s an outsider here.

  • 7. LIVACHOPE (f2, FRA by Goken and Laia Chope, by Soave) Rating: 101lbs

Trained in La Teste-de-Buch by Jane Soubagné, she is unbeaten in three outings, most recently from start to finish over 5 furlongs in the Prix du Bois (Gr3). She’s extended to 6f for the first time after more than seven weeks without running.

She is entered in the Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp Longines (Gr1).

  • 8. CAMPANELLE (f2, IRE by Kodiac and Janina, by Namid) Rating: 106lbs

Trained in the United States by Wesley Ward, bought £ 190,000 at the Newmarket sales, she won for her Florida debut and confirmed in the Queen Mary Stakes (Gr2) over 5f at Royal Ascot. She hasn't run for two months.

  • 9. ACAPULCO GOLD (f2, FRA by Bungle Inthejungle and Velvet Revolver, by Mujahid) Rating: 101lbs

Trained at Chantilly by Fabrice Chappet, she led for her debut over 6f at Saint-Cloud and levelled off at the end, but she took resounding revenge by winning from start to finish, and easily, the Prix des Rêves d 'Or (L), over 5f at Vichy.

She is entered in the Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp Longines (Gr1).
