Decree announcing the reopening of racecourses to the public

The decree authorizing racecourses, which are not located in zones that are in a state of emergency, to welcome back up to 5000 spectators, was recently published in the Journal Officiel. The 5000 people limit includes spectators, racing professionals and staff needed to run a race meeting.

Barrier gestures and social distancing rules have to be observed. Especially, in accordance with the decree and until further notice, wearing a facial mask is compulsory for every attendee (organisers, professionals and spectators) on the premises of the racecourse. Everyone has to bring their own mask and wear it when they enter the racecourse.

The decree comes into force this Saturday, 11 July. For more information on the French decree, click here.
