Saturday 11 March 2023, Auteuil Racecourse (Paris). – The early leader for his return of the Duc d'Anjou 4yo Chase (Gr3), the AQPS Juntos Ganamos (Martaline) hads been taken over by the evens favourite Goliath du Rheu (Castle du Berlais) between the last two hurdles. Still, the Felix de Giles-ridden gelding managed to regain the lead in the run-in and finally won by almost two lengths despite his three kilos penalty. The difference in weight was not enough for the order of arrival of the Congress 3yo Chase (Gr2), 119 days earlier, to be reversed. Juntos Ganamos won with a short neck at level weights back then and did even better this time. Always well placed behind the two leaders, Bon Conseil Balko) finished third at 3.5 lengths.

Juntos Ganamos started his career with second place in the Isopani 3yo AQPS Beginners’ Hurdle, before falling at the first for his return to Auteuil, less than three weeks before his success in the Congress (Gr2).

Juntos Ganamos was bred by Magalen Bryant. He’s owned by Margaux Cottin, Gérard Augustin-Normand, David Cottin, Écurie Michael Rizieri, Écurie Thomas Sivadier and Stéphanie Nigge. The foal was sold by the Bryant estate last May for €45,000 to Highflyer Bloodstock. His yearling brother by Saint des Saints was sold for €85,000 last November to SAS Saubouas Bloodstock in Deauville.
