€200,000 Qatar Wildenstein: Erevann takes the shortest route

October 1st, 2022, ParisLongchamp Racecourse (Paris). – The two French favourites filled the exacta in the €200,000 Qatar Prix Daniel Wildenstein (Gr2). Thrown along the rail off the final bend, as the leaders took most of the field in the middle of the turf straight, Erevann (Dubawi) took an edge and never looked back, beating a fast finishing The Revenant (Dubawi) by 1 1/2 lengths. Always near the leaders, Checkandchallenge (Fast Company) stayed on in third at another 1 1/2 lengths.

A winner of his two first races at 2 and 3, Erevann went on to win the Prix Paul de Moussac (Gr3) at Chantilly before his Marois 3rd place at Deauville.

Homebred by the Aga Khan, Erevann gave hos sire Dubawi (Dubai Millenium) another Group exacta in France. The winner's dam Ervedya (Siyouni) was a champion herself. Placdd in the Morny (Gr1) and the Marcel Boussac (Gr1) at 2, she won three Gr1s at 3 with the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (French One Thousand Guineas), Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Qatar Prix du Moulin de Longchamp. Erevann is her third foal and her first Group winner.

His full sister Elaya was sold for €260,000 to Katsumi Yoshida at the Arqana Breeding sales in 2019.
