ParisLongchamp, Thursday, September 12th, 2024 – Zarigana (Siyouni), highly anticipated following her convincing debut at Chantilly two months earlier, once again made a striking impression in the €80,000 Prix d'Aumale (Gr3) over a mile. The Aga Khan's filly settled in fifth position until the entrance of the straight, where she produced a decisive burst of speed in the final two furlongs. She won comfortably by three lengths from Angeal (Wootton Bassett), who had been unbeaten in three starts, including a Group 3 victory over seven furlongs at Deauville, suggesting the form has considerable substance.

Entered in the Prix Marcel Boussac (Gr1), Zarigana is out of the great Frankel mare Zarkamiya, a daughter of Zarkava (Dansili). Zarkamiya won on her debut in April of her 3-year-old season and then took the Prix de Thiberville (L) over a mile and a half before finishing third in both the Prix Minerve (Gr3) and the Prix Vermeille (Gr1). She is, therefore, a sister to the stallion Zarak (Dubawi).

Prior to this filly, Zarkamiya produced a daughter of Medaglia d'Oro who won on debut but was unsuccessful in her only other start.

Zarigana's full sister was born in 2023.
