Saturday, September 16, 2023, Chantilly Racecourse (Oise). – Four of the six runners were racing over 1m1f for the first time in this €80,000 Prix de Condé (Gr3) and the filly Shiffrin (Olympic Glory) didn't have to make much to keep the lead after a fancy start. She quickened early in the last straight and was never really challenged. The Haras d'Étreham homebred crossed the finish line a length and a half ahead of the field, which sprinted in her wake, unable to recover form their failed tactics. After trailing the winner along the rail, De Sica (Demarchelier) eventually claimed second place, a neck ahead of Gold Index (Night of Thunder), who had raced in second position, with Shalella (Shalaa), always in the mix, and the strong finisher Darling Darling (Dabirsim) were also closing in.

Shiffrin was not offered at the sales, unlike her Belardo sister, who went for €100,000 at the latest yearling sales in Deauville, where she was purchased by Hubert Guy. Their dam, the unraced Scruples (Pioneerofthenile), was acquired as a yearling for $38,000 at Keeneland. She belongs to a well-known family, that of the speedy Flanders, hence Louvain, the dam of the classic winner Flotilla and the second dam of Shiffrin.
