Sunday, April 16, 2023, ParisLongchamp Racecourse (Paris). - The €80,000 Prix de la Grotte (Gr3) favourite Blue Rose Cen (Churchill) was making her comeback after winning the Prix Marcel Boussac (Gr1) last October, nearly two hundred days earlier.

The Yeguada Centurion-bred took the lead and gradually put herself out of reach in the final straight, winning by one and a half lengths without much hassle, beating Lindy (Le Havre), who was until then undefeated in three outings and finished strongly in between horses. Always near the pace, Palerma (Alex the Winner) stayed on well to take third place less than two lengths away.

It was Blue Rose Cen's 7th race. Sixth for her debut in May of last year, over 6 furlongs, she won her next two outings, in June at Saint-Cloud over 7 furlongs and then in July at Clairefontaine over the mile. Second in the Listed then, she won the Prix d'Aumale (Gr3) and thus signed in the Critérium des Pouliches her fourth victory.

Blue Rose Cen is the only referenced foal out of Queen Blossom (Jeremy), who went three times over the ring in Ireland, the USA and then England, where she was sold for 110,000 £ in December 2018. She'd won three races including two Group 3 events in Ireland and the USA.
