Friday, October 27, 2023, Chantilly Racecourse (Oise). - British raider Tamfana (Soldier Hollow) lived up to her favouritism in the €80,000 Prix Miesque (Gr3), run over 7 furlongs, facing six other 2-year-old fillies. She had previously finished third in her debut in Wales in September and followed that with a convincing victory on Kempton Park's Polytrack. Sixteen days after her first win, Tamfana made a strong start and was initially in a good position. She was soon overtaken by Sans Voix (Saxon Warrior) and Geologist (Territories) but came back at them going into the home straight, ultimately gaining a definitive advantage over her rivals within the final furlong. Despite a notable slowdown in the last furlong, as indicated in the tracking report, she maintained her lead. Only the second-placed Shady Lady (Blue Point), who had been trailing and made a late charge down the center of the course, managed to gain ground on this stretch, narrowly preventing Monteille (Cable Bay) from securing the second position, finishing about a length behind the winner.

Tamfana was purchased for €20,000 at the Baden-Baden yearling sales, presented by Gestüt Etzean and bought by Jeremy Brummitt. She is the third foal out of the French-born maiden mare Très Magnifique (Zoffany), whose dam is a sister to the outstanding Sea Calisi (Youmzain), winner of the Beverly D Stakes (Gr1).

Tamfana's sister by Areion was acquired for €30,000 this summer in Baden by Byrne, Grassick, and Coleman.
