Sunday, 3rd September 2023, Hippodrome ParisLongchamp (Paris) — Horizon Doré (Dabirsim), the overwhelming favourite for the €80,000 Prix du Prince d’Orange (Gr3) following two extraordinarily dominant wins, including a recent triumph in the Prix Eugène Adam (Gr2) that earned him an additional two-kilogram penalty, once again easily took over the competition in the closing stage to claim victory by 2.5 lengths. Throughout the race, he tracked one of his best challengers, Birr Castle (Cloth of Stars), who ultimately finished third, edged by a head by Mr Molière (Kingman), who this time offered a straightforward late dash.

Horizon Doré had fetched €45,000 at the Deauville sales, purchased by Charley Rossi. More recently, his 5-year-old sibling Jasmin Doré (Holy Roman Emperor), also a gelding, a winner at Senonnes and Mont-de-Marsan, was sold for €20,000 to Youssef Mohammed Alturaif at the Arqana summer sales. He's now in training with Capucine Nicot.

Horizon Doré, a brother to the good Cavale Dorée (Sunday Break), winner of the Prix du Calvados (Gr3) and placed in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (Gr1), began his career with a victory at Salon-de-Provence last September. This was followed by a remarkable win in the Prix Delahante (L) at Parc Borély. Fifth upon his seasonal return in the Prix La Force (Gr3), he then came second by five lengths to Big Rock in the Prix de Guiche (Gr3) before making a facile debut win over 1 mile 2 furlongs in the Prix Ridgway (L), and then the Prix Eugène Adam (Gr2). He is now considered one of the top 3-year-old geldings in Europe.

A Dabirsim colt was born in 2023.
