Seven take part in the 2019 Grand Prix de Chantilly (Gr2), won in 2018 by Waldgeist by three lengths ahead of the German champion Dschingis Secret. A year earlier, Silverwave (Silver Frost) won the race and the 7-year-old tries his luck again two years later after going back to winning ways at Lyon-Parilly, twice. He had previously failed to succeed Stateside.

Owned by Martin Schwartz, who has had many successes with his purchases in France, Silverwave claims the best rating in the field along with British raider Aspetar (Al Kazeem), who ties him at 111Lbs on the tables. Trained by Roger Charlton, Aspetar finished fifth lately in the Prix d'Hédouville (Gr3) won by Petit Fils (Makfi), who tries to climb another step here.

Second that day in a messy race, Folamour (Intello) is a brother to one of the main QIPCO Prix du Jockey Club contenders, Slalom. His stablemate with the Wertheimers, Ziyad (Rock of Gibraltar) was beaten by petit Fils last time out in Lyon after completely missing his return.

Representing the Godolphin team, Gyllen (Medaglia d'Oro) won the Prix Eugène Adam (Gr2) last year. Listen In (Sea the Stars) is the only female at the start but she has to give a pound to all the males because she won the Prix de la Conseil de Paris (Gr2) last year, which got her 4Lbs penalty.
