Haras d'Etreham Magalen Bryant 3yo Fillies Hurdle: Hawai still unbeaten

November 6, 2021, Auteuil Racecourse (Paris). - Renamed in tribute to the owner-breeder Magalen Bryant, who passed away lats Summer, the Haras d'Étreham Bournosienne 3yo Fillies Hurdle (Gr2, Hurdles, 3-year-old fillies) returned to Hawai du Berlais (Martaline), sporting the colours of the deceased, allowing her trainer Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé and her sire Martaline to record a quick double after the success of Latino des Isles in the other 3yos' Grand Prix on this card, the -Congress 3yo Chase.
Always well placed behind the leading Saintamarin (Saint des Saints) and Itours Brun (Free Port Lux), the winner took over between the last two hurdles and clearly dominated once again, by fifteen lengths, thus remaining undefeated in three outings. A good finisher, La Manigance (No RIsk At All) was second ahead of Itours Brun and Sideralis (Kapgarde).
Hawai du Berlais was bred by Jean-Marc Lucas, at Haras du Berlais. She is the second foal out of Hilton du Berlais (Saint des Saints), a Group 3 winner over Auteuil's hurdles, too, and dam of yet another 2-year-old Martaline filly in training with Yannick Fouin. Two Doctor Dino colts are to follow.
