Saturday, October 17, 2020, Auteuil. - Beaten for her debut in July, and again in September for her comeback, by Fortunes Melody (Yorgunnabelucky), the 3-year-old filly Hotesse du Chenet (Martaline) took resounding revenge in the Haras d'Etreham Chambly 3yo Fillies Hurdle race (Gr3) and she repeated this time in the Haras d'Étreham Magne 3yo Fillies Hurdle race (Gr3).

Owned by Magalen Bryant, bred in France by Marie-Laure Besnouin, Hotesse du Chenêt followed her old pal Fortune's Melody to the outside rail before attacking going off the final turn while on the other side of the course, by the actual rail, Astadame (Poliglote) had taken over from the front-running Ha La Land (Poliglote) and also tried her luck out of the turn. Fighting away from each other, the two fillies never let go and Hotesse du Chenêt finally kept 3/4 of a length over Richard Corvellers' homebred and trainer Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé's. Fortune's Melody stayed on in third at 9 lengths.

Thanks to the partnership of Haras d'Étreham in this race, Marie-Laure Besnouin gets a second free nomination -she'd already got one after the Haras d'Etreham Chambly Hurdle race (Gr3)- from the haras d'Etreham, in addition to a breeder's premium of € 5,481.

Hotesse du Chenet is out of the good Tanaïs du Chenet (Poliglote), winner of the Cambacérès 3yo Hurdle race (Gr1) at Auteuil in 2010. At stud, after a career which allowed her to earn nearly €560,000, she also gave Gary du Chenet (Martaline), recently the winner of the Gelas Chase at Auteuil, and more recently the 2yo Ibiza du Chenet (Manduro) and a colt by Doctor Dino born in 2019.
