Sunday, September 6, 2020, ParisLongchamp. - Second for his debut in May over 6f at Lyon-Parilly, that is to say, almost at home since he is trained at the Chazey-sur-Ain training centre, Go Athletico (Goken) won a month later on the same course and distance. Then again second in the Prix Roland de Chambure (L) at ParisLongchamp over 7f, when he could not hold off King's Harlequin. Owned by Tanguy Moreux, SAS Racing, Robin Mouterde and Thibault de Seyssel, the winner took resounding revenge in the Prix La Rochette (Gr3).

Bred by Camille Vitse and Valérie Decouz, Go Athletico was this time held in third place behind the leading duo formed by Naval Crown (Dubawi) and Sealiway (Galiway). He passed these two rivals in the last hundred yards, Sealiway fighting hard to take the second place a length behind the winner, and a neck ahead of the Godolphin colt.

The only gelding at the start, Go Athletico is out of Byburg (Sageburg), also trained by Philippe Decouz for the Seyssel family. She won four races at Marseilles. Go Athletico is her second foal after By the Way (Galiway), now 4 but gelded three days after his younger sibling! He has since won a handicap in Cagnes-sur-Mer.

By winning the Prix La Rochette, Go Athletico succeeds, in particular, Kenway, Karakontie and Sofast.
