Among jumpers' breeders in 2020, Nicolas de Lageneste’s Haras de Saint-Voir stands out for the fifth time, but after an eight-year hiatus. Indeed, we have to go back to 2012 and a fourth consecutive title to find his breeding operation, based in Allier, in the first place.
Like last year, 85 horses born in Saint-Voir represented the stud farm over jumps in France, allowing their breeder to receive a little more than € 200,000 in Breeders' premiums, corresponding to €1.68m in prizemoney.
However, Nicolas de Lageneste’s Haras de Saint-Voir has finished near the leaders every year in between. This time, it is followed by another familiar of the podiums, Thierry Cyprès, defending champion and this time second with € 139,284 in Premiums, preceding Antonia Devin (€ 110,854) and Jean-Marc Lucas's “Berlais” (€ 104,605).
