The German raider Quest the Moon (Sea the Moon), second in Munich of the Bavarian Classic (Gr3) for his return this season, dominated clearly to finish, succeeding Neufbosc in the Prix du Lys (Gr1), an obvious stepping stone towards the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris (Gr1), for 3-year-olds over one mile and a half at ParisLongchamp. Trained in Munich by Sarah Steinberg for the Stall Salzburg, he followed the small field led at a good pace by Khagan (Le Havre) and did not seem to meet much resistance in the last furlong, Khagan staying on well in second two and a half lengths behind, with Talk or Listen (Alhebayeb).

Quest the Moon is in the German Derby. He won the Zukunft-Rennen (Gr2) in Baden-Baden last year over 7 furlongs at Baden-Baden, and was sold € 67,000 at the Baden-Baden yearling sales in 2017. His third dam Bella Colora (Bellypha) is the dam of Stagecraft (Sadler's Wells), winner of the Prince of Wales' Stakes (Gr1) and second in the Eclipse Stakes (Gr1), third in Suave Dancer's Irish Champion Stakes (Gr1) before the French winner of the Jockey Club win the Arc, and seventh in the Champion Stakes (Gr1) won by another French raider, Tel Quel.
Quest the Moon's connections will be able to supplement the horse for free in the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris thanks to the "Grand Free Pass" program to promote the Bastille Day showpiece at ParisLongchamp.
