None of the top four of the Prix La Haye Jousselin Chase (Gr1) take part, Sunday at Auteuil, in what is supposed to be the consolation race, the Prix Georges Courtois Chase (Gr2). Fifth that day away from Bipolaire and Ebonite, Roxinela (Muhthatir) is the top ranked survivor here along with Dalahast (Ballingarry), who unseated his rider at the formidable rail-ditch-and-fence that day while he was still leading.
The withdrawal of the top chasers has undoubtedly contributed to lure in eight horses, three of whom being victorious last time out: C'est Le Bouquet (Coastal Path), who has just achieved the an amazing double with the Grand Steeple de Craon (L) and the Prix Montgomery Handicap Chase (Gr3), Tiesto d'Authie (Black Seal), winner of the Prix du General Donnio Chase (L) on this very course recently, and the 5-year-old Edgeoy (Saddler Maker), who defeated Ebonite in the Prix Heros XII Chase before her great effort against Bipolaire in the "La Haye Jousselin" ...
However, Roi Mage (Poliglote), third in the Zeturf Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris (Gr1), will be a serious contender, and so will Jubilatoire (König Turf), fourth for his return at Compiègne over hurdles and winner of the Prix des Drags Chase (Gr2) in the spring.
The 5-year-old mare Equation (Network) alternates chases and hurdle races and she runs in her first Group 2. It is also a first test at the best level at Auteuil for this representative of Dominic Dormeuil, Jean-René de Fraguier, Hervé d'Armaillé and Louis Giscard d'Estaing.
