Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Deauville-Touques Racecourse (Calvados). – The first event of the Barrière Deauville 2022 August meeting, the Prix Psyche Sky Sports Racing (Gr3), is a 3-year-old fillies’ contest run over 1m2f. At the end of a rather moderately-paced race led by the outsider Beauté Cachée (Literato), the Irish raider Trevaunance (Muhaarar) bravely held on and resisted Mqse de Sevigné (Siyouni), who was giving 2kgs as a penalty for winning the Prix Vanteaux (Gr3) at the beginning of the season and failed only by a short neck, although without much to discuss. The betting favourite was Godolphin’s Life of Dreams (Dubawi), who took a long time to reach momentum and finished third at a short length. Beauté Cachée stayed on in fourth, also very close in a very tight finish.

Winner at 2 for her second outing and then fourth in a Group 3 race, Moyglare Stud’s Trevaunance had won this season for her return at Limerick before failing at Leopardstown against the males, on a left-handed track she didn’t handle that well, according to her rider Shane Foley.

The filly was bred by her owner, Moyglare Stud, and it did not go to the sales. Her brother by Kodiac, then a yearling, was listed at the Goffs sales of February 2021. Both are out of Liber Nauticus (Azamour), a winner of the Musidora Stakes (Gr3) for Ballymacoll Stud, a set of silks also sported by the classic-winner Conduit, winner of the King George and the Saint-Leger, a brother to Liber Nauticus’s dam.
