Winner of the 2018 Qatar Prix Foy (Gr2), Waldgeist (Galileo) strikes again, taking over the front-running Japanese raider Kiseki (Rulership) about one out to finally take off and win by 2 lengths over Way To Paris (Champs Elysees). The latter took a rather convincing test here after becoming one of the best active stayers in France. Kiseki finished thir, only a head in front of Silverwave (Silver Frost).

Bred in Great Britain, Waldgeist was racing for the 20th time in the Foy, his 8th win to date. His dam Waldlerche (Monsun) won the Prix Pénélope (Gr3) after being bought € 100,000 at the Deauville sales. She also gave the winner of the Prix de Malleret (Gr2) Waldlied (New Approach). Another filly by New Approach, still unraced to this day, was born in 2015. A Sea The Stars colt born in 2016 started with a win for trainer John Gosden last year in Britain and won a handicap at Newmarket lately.
