Trainer: Fabrice Vermeulen

Breeder: Sua Anne Foley

Rider: Maxime Guyon

Second on August 16th at Deauville for her debut over 6.5 furlongs, Hoxton (Camelot) was held in the field and was able to move forward along the rail and burst in between horses to soon make a difference, even though Apaniiwa (Cloth of Stars), who had run with the pacesetter Ever Muchacha (Machucambo), never caved in and was only beaten a head, being rather outpaced. Australiana (Australia) was 3rd, finishing well at almost a length.

Hoxton was bought for €52,000 at Goffs by Meridian International. She was bred by Sue Anne Foley, daughter of JP McManus.

Hoxton's dam Potion (Pivotal) already gave a few winners, including a hurdling Group-placed. This is, however, the family of the 1997 European champion juvenile Xaar.

Two lengths behind finished Macun (Adlerflug), who came by in the wave that brought the winner forward.

The favourite Irandando Has (No Risk at All), a brother to Irouficar Has (Dream Well), Irja Has (Dream Well) and Irmao Joao Has (Ballingarry), came by in the final turn. Lokman came by the stands' side and was able to keep a neck over Irandando Has, Bolero finishing 3rd at 5 lengths.

The Haras de Cercy's Prince Gibraltar (Rock of Gibraltar) sired winners in both codes.  Gibralfaro and Quali Dancer have already performed at the highest level over jumps.

At the last hurdle, however, Excello (Cokoriko) took over and fought with Kansas du Berlais and Authoryty Seven (Authorized) while Libeccio, named after a Corsican breeze, came on his own by the stands' side to snatch the race. Excello held on in 2nd, beaten by a head and beating the 3rd-placed Authoryty Seven by a short head with Kansas du Berlais 4th at less than a length.
