Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Deauville-Touques Racecourse (Calvados). – A pleasant fourth in the Prix Roland de Chambure (L) after taking fifth place in the Albany Stakes (Gr3) at Royal Ascot, Sydneyarms Chelsea (Sioux Nation) won her first graded title in style in the Prix Six Perfections Sky Sports Racing (Gr3), over the round 7-furlong trip at Deauville. Trained by Charlie Hills, she took over the leading Cosmic Invasion (Cotai Glory) about one out and took off to remain out of reach for a fast-finishing Terrestrial (Kingman), who came from the rear, too far off, and concluded at less than a length from the winner. This representative of the Niarchos family clocked the best time -by far- in the last 3 furlongs in 33''71, against 34''35 for Sydneyarms Chelsea. Coming at the same time as the latter, Ipanema Princess (Kessaar) stayed on in third at one length.

The steward opened an inquiry as the winner veered inwards in the very end, possibly interfering on the 3rd placed progression. The result, however, stood.

Sydneyarms Chelsea was bought for €9,000 at the Tattersalls yearling sales. The first product out of Wedding Dress (Tamayuz) had been unsold, unlike their younger sister by Zoffany who, as a weanling, reached € 15,000. For the anecdote, it should be noted that the fourth dam Alcando is the winner of the Prix Psyche (Gr3), contested on the same day as this Prix Six Perfections, while the next two dams were both placed in the Fred Darling Stakes (Gr3).
