May 22, 2022, Auteuil Racecourse (Paris). - The Papot family homebred Losange Bleu (Martaline) was expected to confirm his leadership over the young hurdlers' division in the €120,000 Aguado 3-year-old Hurdle race (Gr3) after his impressive Go Ahead Hurdle win. Despite a few mistakes behind the leaders, the promising gelding took off again after the last with Jérémy Da Silva, winning a third time in four races. Trained by Dominique Bressou, he will probably come back in the Autumn for the first top championships. With 4 trainees at the start, David Cottin got Prince Chop (Vale of York) and Carlton du Berlais (Zarak) to fight for second place, the former finally prevailing with Felix de Giles, who kept him in the rear. Dominique Bressou and the Papots won this race in 2016 with Kalifko.

Mrs Patrick Papot bred Losange Bleu. His dam Sweet Valrose (Cadoudal) was twice placed over jumps, at Enghien and at Auteuil, at 3, for Vicenzo Esposito. She gave several winners before she was acquired by the Papots, Losange Vert (Montmartre) being the first they bred out of her, and he won the Duc d'Anjou 4-year-old Chase (Gr3). After Losange Bleu, she also gave Je Rêve en Vert (Night Wish), now 2, and was covered since by Doctor Dino.
