The € 165,000 Prix Haras d’Étreham - Bournosienne Hurdle (Gr2) is the final stage of a series sponsored by the Normandy stud for the first time this year in an effort to give the top 3yo fillies opportunities to prove themselves at Auteuil without having to deal with the colts. Nine fillies will line up this year to succeed Floridée but one is missing, as Golden Park runs on Sunday in the Cambacérès Hurdle (Gr1) against the colts. She won one of the series and went to fail in her chasing debut but her connections, led by trainer Mickael Seror, stick to the big plan.

The winner of the last prep race, however, is Want of a Nail (Kapgarde) hadn't won before! A sister to champion chasers So French, Device and Whetstone (winner of the 2017 edition of the race) meets again two of her challengers on the day, Kalmia (Authorized) and Color Chope (Amadeus Wolfe), respectively 2nd and 4th. But another challenger, Fujimoto Flyer (Admire Moon), beat her last time out. She's trained in Ireland by Emmet Mullins and won her Auteuil debut in the Pelat Hurle (L).

Grand Messe (Network) also won for her debut, taking a short neck over Grace Féline (Balko), who was also running her first hurdle race. Galite (Gris de Gris) won at Auteuil last time out but after two runs at Dieppe. She races for Jacques Détré, is bred by the Cyprès and traiend by Donatien Sourdeau de Beauregard, juste like Floridee was.

Invincible Dina (Doctor Dino) has consistently taken places in the series, and so has Grakownia (Barastraight), out since her 2nd place in the Spring behind Aterisk, the first leader of this generation at Auteuil.
