OSAF Reux: Glycon on the long run

August 8, 2021, Deauville-La Touques Racecourse (Calvados). - For his first trial over more than 10 furlongs, the 5-year-old gelding Glycon (Le Havre) came back into winning ways which he'd lost since September. In the Prix de Reux (Gr3), over 12.5F, The Haras de Saint-Pair homebred was held in the rear and then dived into the inner straight to make a real difference in the end, scoring by 2 lengths over a German duo formed by Alter Adler (Adlerflug) and Northern Ruler (Ruler of the World).

Glycon had finished 6th twice this term in the Prix d’Harcourt (Gr2) and La Coupe (Gr3). he's out of Glorious Sight (Singspiel), whose dam is the good Zelding (Warning), and who was 2nd in the Poule d’Essai (French 1,000 Guineas, Gr1) won by Golden Lilac en 2011 for R. C. Strauss. She was then sold for €1.7 at Arqana's Arc sale. She also gave a Dubawi filly sold for £450,000 at Newmarket. A Siyouni filly was bred last year.
