Third in the Prix Daniel Wildenstein (Gr2) in his last raid into France, last year on the same ParisLongchamp course where he also finished second in the French 2,000 Guineas last Spring, Hey Gaman (New Approach) finally made it to the top of the podium in Prix du Palais-Royal (Gr3) on Thursday night over 7 furlongs.
Trained at Newmarket by James Tate, he had just made a successful comeback in Leicester on the same distance and held on again after flanking the Hungarian sensation Tour To Paris (Fuissé), who faded away this time≤in the last two furlongs.
A length behind the winner, King Malpic (King's Best) emerged ahead of the field in beating Polydream (Oasis Dream), back on her best trip, Spinning Memories (Arcano) and Marianafoot (Footstepsinthesand), all packed in one length.
Next ParisLongchamp 7-furlongs dash is scheduled on July 4th with the Prix de la Porte Maillot (Gr3), same venue, same trip, and probably many Palais-Royal runners!
