Sectional timing at Auteuil launched on Grand Steeple weekend

The tracking system developed by McLloyd with France Galop will be implemented this weekend at Auteuil for the first time. Created a year ago, sectional timing data is now collected and displayed in every race run at ParisLongchamp, Chantilly and Deauville in official results. The service has been updated and adapted to provide relevant data to jumps racing enthusiasts and professionals alike.

In addition to the detailed sectional timing every furlong and every kilometre already available for flat races, the jumps tracking system will provide statistics on every runner’s records from one jump to another. The data will be made available for hurdle races and steeplechases alike. With sectional timing will also come strides counting, which is a new feature of the tracking system.

With that new service, France Galop is willing to give horsemen and fans an additional tool to understand better and analyze the jumpers’ performance.
