October 26, 2021, Chantilly Racecourse (Oise). - EGOT is short for an Emmy,  Grammy, Oscar and Tony award … Audrey Hepburn was an EGOT. Egot (Invincible Spirit), the horse, runs for Godolphin and he's trained by André Fabre, and this was his first major award, this Prix de Seine-et-Oise (Gr.3), run over Chantilly's 6 furlongs straight. After two Listed wins, he dominated here the titleholder from Britain, Brad The Brief (Dutch Art), by half a length, with Mo Celita (Camacho) third at 3 lengths and the Abbaye (Gr1) 2nd Air de Valse (Mesnil des Aigles), who led most of the race, beaten by a combined 4.5 lengths.

Egot's dam Entertains (Street Cry) was bred by Godolphin in Australia. Group-placed on the course, she gave two foals but only Egot has run so far. her own dam Serenade Rose (Stravinsky) is a classic, triple Gr1 winner in Australia.

André Fabre won three editions of that race but not since 2001 with Deep Sleep (Rahy). His first winner in this sprint was in 1994 with Spain Lane (Seeking The Gold). Both were owned by Maktoum Al Maktoum. Egot, bred and owned by Godolphin, hails the memory of the almighty stable's co-founder.
